Our goal at Abshire Chiropractic Sports Center is to get patients back to the activities and lifestyle they love as quickly as possible. Our treatments are evidence-based, patient focused, and aimed at resolving your condition and giving you the knowledge to maintain your health and prevent reoccurrences. Our style of treatment is intended to get all patients back to health as quickly as possible regardless of what type of lifestyle they lead.
How are we different?
At Abshire Chiropractic Sports Center we evaluate the entire musculoskeletal system, not just bones and joints. We realize that most conditions involve disorders of the soft tissue (Muscle, Tendon, Ligament, Fascia), and that can be the primary source of pain. Soft tissue injuries generally occur in two ways: Acute Injury and Repetitive/Micro Trauma. Regardless of the mechanism, the body repairs these damaged areas with fibrous adhesions, or “scar” tissue. This scar tissue causes restriction of muscular and joint motion, inflammation, and pain. Without proper treatment, this can lead to a repetitive injury cycle, which can actually prolong the condition.
Do I have to be an athlete or play sports to visit Abshire Chiropractic Sports Center?
No! We treat everyone! Our style of treatment is intended to get all patients back to health as quickly as possible regardless of what type of lifestyle they lead.
How many visits will it take?
With our style of treatment and our experience getting patients out of pain and released from our care takes an average of 3-5 office visits. Remember average is just that an average! Each patient's body and condition is different. After a complete exam we will have a better idea of how many visits it will take you. We want to get you out of pain as quickly as possible!
Referrals
Although we do accept referrals from other physicians, one is not necessary to schedule an appointment.
We realize that every condition that walks through our door cannot be handled through this office alone. If we feel that your condition is not responding to our care, or would be better managed by another physician, we will make the proper referral for you.
Imaging
X-rays are not included in a new patient exam. After a thorough history and examination, if warranted, imaging will be ordered. If your condition is not responding to care, further imaging may be ordered to further evaluate your condition.
Insurance
As of June 1, 2019, we will not be providers for most insurance plans. We will continue to be providers for medicare. We will file all insurance as a courtesy for our patients as an "out of network" provider, but we will not mediate between the patient and their insurance carrier. We accept cash, personal checks and most credit cards as forms of payment. To find out our fees, please contact our office.
