Dr. Abshire is a native of Rayne and an alumnus of Rayne High School, class of 1993. He then attended Louisiana State University at Eunice, where he received an Associate of Science Degree in 1998. Dr. Abshire continued his education at Texas Chiropractic College, where he graduated Magna Cum Laude receiving his Doctorate of Chiropractic degree in 2001. As part of his training Dr. Abshire worked with a Neurosurgeon in the Houston Medical Center, in which he performed exams as well as assisted in surgery, giving him advanced clinical skills. Dr. Abshire also worked at Baseball Sports Medicine Institute, which furthered his understanding of musculoskeletal conditions. In an effort to continue to provide the latest treatment options, Dr. Abshire recently received the post graduate credential of Certified Chiropractic Sports Physician (CCSP). Dr. Abshire is married to the former Kelly Fontenot and has four children, twins Matthew and Makenzie, Andrew and Emily. |

Dr. Terro completed his undergraduate studies at the University of Louisiana at Monroe and the University of Louisiana at Lafayette. He then went on to receive his Doctorate of Chiropractic, graduating Summa Cum Laude and Valedictorian, from Texas Chiropractic College in 2006. While in school he participated in Orthopedic Surgery and Neurosurgery rotations, in the Houston Medical Center, allowing him to observe and participate in evaluation, examination, surgery and management of a wide range of orthopedic and neurological cases. Realizing his passion for working with athletes, he began taking specialized courses in soft tissue treatment, becoming a full body certified Active Release Techniques provider and a certified Graston provider. He has also volunteered and treated athletes at many events such as the Senior Olympics at Rice University, Houstonian Lite 30K and Ironman Florida 2007. After graduating, he continued his studies by completing 120 hours of sport specific training in order to become a Certified Chiropractic Sports Physician. As a runner and triathlete himself, Dr. Terro understands the importance of overcoming injuries quickly in order to continue training safely. Dr. Terro resides in Youngsville with his wife Clair, daughters Elizabeth and Madeline and son William. |
